3.) Topic: Cleveland National Air Show Report – Gerry Freed

Discussion: Gerry thanked everyone that was involved in this year’s appearance at the Cleveland Air Show. We were scheduled to launch on each day of the air show to demonstrate at least a few “G” size motors. Due to the President’s visit on Saturday and less than optimal weather on Sunday and Monday, we were not able to perform a launch. Launches will still be an option for next year. Although we were not able to launch, we still had a very good turn out at our tent and helped spread the word about our hobby. A number of club members displayed a large variety of rockets.

7.) Topic: Regional Launch – Erie Rocketry Group – October Sky

The rain date is Sunday, October 10, 2004. They have a new field about a mile West of Lander, PA, which is about the size of our Amherst field and is planted in hay. Several fields to the East and North of the main field are available for recovery making the total area about the same as Geneseo. The present waiver is 5200' and it's less than a one hour drive from Erie, PA. Any BFR type rockets need to be approved by Ken before the launch. We will attend as a club and our equipment trailer will be present.
