4.) Topic: Amherst Field Update – Les Kramer
Discussion: Les Kramer discussed the current situation with the Amherst field. Since this field is the location of our 5200’ waiver, it is very important that we maintain our relationships and take care of the property. Les discussed that the farmer mentioned that he will be planting hay on one side of the field. This will allow year around launches during 2005. The farmer also mentioned that he will be maintaining horses at the site. Although a few club members expressed concern about our noise, the farmer felt certain that we would be OK.
It was also mentioned that a neighbor that keeps horses expressed some concern about our launch activities. It was decided that we would locate this person and discuss our club and what we do during the launches.
Conclusions: None
Action Items: Les will contact Pete and find the neighbor.
Person Responsible: Les Kramer
Deadline: ASAP
5.) Topic: GLRMR V Launch Planning – Les Kramer
Discussion: Les Kramer discussed that we are in the planning phases for our biggest launch of the year, GLRMR V. Les discussed that we are looking at the weekend of April 23rd or 24th. The Threee Oaks launch in Michigan is scheduled the week before and has a rain date scheduled for our weekend. Having multiple regional launches on the same weekend can cause a lack of vendor attendance. Les also discussed the need for a new club PA system. The system will be purchased/built over the next few months. The new system will operate on either AC or DC power and be comprised of an amplifier and two PA speakers.
The club discussed raising the launch fees for this launch only. It was decided that
$10.00 for all flyers and a $10.00 maximum for a family was fair and comparable to other launches.
Les discussed the need for a food vendor and has assigned that responsibility to Marty Doriciak. Les also mentioned that there may be other tasks assigned as the launch approaches.
Conclusions: None
Action Items: PA system / Food Services
Person Responsible: Les Kramer / Marty Doriciak
Deadline: February 2005
6.) Topic: Club Purchase – Les Kramer
Discussion: Les Kramer discussed a recent club purchase. The Sky Busters now own a Pratt Hobbies BFV fill valve with pressure gauge. The new valve will allow the very quick loading of nitrous for Hybrid flights. The nitrous gauge will allow us to visually check the nitrous tank pressure.
Conclusions: None
Action Items: None
Person Responsible: None
Deadline: None
7.) Topic: Vendor Presence at Launches – Les Kramer
Discussion: Les Kramer discussed a new vendor that has been attending recent launches. Art Upton of BoosterVision fame also owns Cowboy Rocketry. Les welcomed this opportunity to serve our flyers and thanked Art for attending the launches.

Action Items: None
Person Responsible: None
Deadline: None
8.) Topic: Web Merchandise Sale – Les Kramer
