Meeting Minutes for Sunday, 11/09/2008
November 09, 2008
Present:
Martin Dorociak, Mark Snock, Chris Pearson, Cheryl Hamer, Lee Hamer, Mac Zborowski, Ralph Jansen, Steve Stein, Pat Easter, Jim Mullane, Mark Hanna, Mark Coburn, Bryan Torok, Sara Torok, Neal Bade, Gerry Freed, Les Kramer, Chuck Delaney, Jim Philips, John Hasenstab, Mike Molnar, Heidi Kramer
Nominations were taken for elections.
General Meeting dates for next year, at Strongsville Library, have been chosen by Martin Dorociak, Martin requests that the summer meeting be held at the Amherst field.
The bylaws were passed by unanimous vote, after slight word revisions.
Heidi and Les Kramer will deliver a card and holiday ham to Mr. Born.
Status of the Oberlin field is unknown.
Waiver for Amherst field: application is filled out, awaiting names of new officers.
Chris Pearson requests use of the Amherst field by NOTRA for launches, to include research launches. It is suggested that NOTRA apply for their own waiver for the field because the wording on the Skybuster waiver precludes a research/experimental motor launch under the terms of the NAR rules, followed by the Skybusters. It is decided that NOTRA will file for a waiver. Gerry Freed will assist NOTRA through the waiver process at the FAA if needed.
Chris Pearson has suggested the development of a new Club Information Brochure in the form of a 5x8, two-sided, full-color card that will include relevant club information and contact information. Chris has offered to follow through on the card production.
A paper-ballot vote was held to determine open officer seats. Results: President, Dan Vento; Vice-President, Bryan Torok; Secretary, Jim Phillips.
Mike Molnar will serve a second term as club Treasurer.
