Type of meeting: Regular Club Meeting

1.) Topic: ATF and the Homeland Security Act
Discussion: Les Kramer discussed the ATF and Homeland Security Act. After May 24th, 2003, we must abide by the new rules of the Homeland Security act which states that a user must process a LEUP to buy, use, store or transport any AP motor over the 64.5 gram limit. There has been no clear decision on motors that you may already have. The amendment to the Homeland security act which would change the classification of AP is still in the senate judiciary committee. The NAR / Tripoli lawsuit is also still in progress. All policing of the new regulations will be up to the individual user at our launches.

Action Items: Bryan Torok will try to get a meeting with Senator Voinivich to discuss our point of view.

2.) Topic: Treasures Report – Les Kramer
Discussion: All is in order. The General Fund is at $300.00. The trailer fund is at $855.00.

3.) Topic: GLRMR Launch
Discussion: Les Kramer discussed the upcoming plans for our annual GLRMR launch. Les asked for help with setting up and tearing down the event. He also asked for help with RSO, LCO and other launch event activities. Whoever volunteers for range duty will get free lottery tickets. Les discussed the possible raffle prizes, including some items from LOC, Transolve and Parma Hobbies

Action Items: Anyone who wishes to volunteer should contact Les as soon as possible.

4.) Topic: NYPower
Discussion: Les Kramer announced our participation in the upcoming NYPower launch. Les will not be able to attend, however the club tent and launch equipment is available to any club member that decides to transport the material.

5.) Topic: Team America Update
Discussion: Gerry Freed discussed the outcome of the Team America launches held at our launch site earlier this year. Two teams that we worked with have qualified for the national event. They are North Royalton and Valley Forge. Six teams in total from Ohio will attend the national event. Gerry thanked the club members who participated in this important event.

6.) Raffle
Discussion: The club raffle was held and the prizes were distributed.
